Dealer Notes

"If we could recommend just one sedan for the majority of buyers, it would be the Honda Accord. In fact, Honda's venerable midsize sedan is our overall winner for the 2019 Kelley Blue Book Best Buy Award. The 2019 Honda Accord, which was just overhauled last year, is the exceptionally rare car that does almost everything right yet retains enough variety to appeal to a wide range of buyers. Whether you just want a reliable, easy-to-drive, efficient yet energetic commuter, a driver-oriented manual-transmission sedan with a potent turbo engine, or a hybrid that attains nearly 50 mpg, the Accord delivers. Excellent resale value and a standard suite of safety and driver-assistance features known as Honda Sensing further bolster the Accord's allure. "~KBB

This Accord has made me happy. I had to purchase it quickly after my A5 was totaled and my insurance company gave me little time in a rental. With mostly around town driving I was able to see how having the torque down low was of great benefit. I traveled to Austin to COTA and while on the toll roads 85 - 90 was comfortable and quiet. I kept driving on that tank until Thursday and was happy to avg 33.8 MPG of mixed Hwy and City. I tend to have a lead foot and obtaining that surprised me. I have played with many of the electronic systems and love the integration of these systems. If you explore the car systems, you will find items that will make ownership more enjoyable. Smooth when you want it, capable when you need it. HUGE trunk and backseat doesnt hurt.
  • Questioning Honda’s “Reliability”

After owning the 2018 Accord Sport 2.0, I’m not sure if I’ll ever buy another Honda. First time I took it through a car wash, water leaked in through the sun roof. Took it to dealership, said there was nothing they could do. At around 3K miles, water began flowing into the backseat like a waterfall whenever it rained. Again, took it to dealership and this time they replaced all window seals. At about 8K miles, Honda sending system started glitching (would warm me to stop on a completely open highway). Cruise control also went out at the beginning of a long road trip. Pulled over, restarted my car like a busted internet router and it fixed the issue. At 16K miles front wheel bearings went out. Replaced under warranty. The moment my bumper-to-bumper warranty is up, I’m trading this lemon. Which is unfortunate because it really does look good and drives like a dream.

We liked the Honda Accord EX-L, 1.5 VTEC so much, we bought an Obsidian Blue 2018 and a White Orchard Pearl 2019. Fuel mileage in both is much better than advertised. Peace-of-Mind safety, comfort, Driver visibility and convenience are remarkable. Honda is superb at vehicle optioned packaging and no non sense standard equipment. The interior and trunk are huge. The Honda Accord brakes and standard warning features are fantastic. The ride and design of the independent suspension build is luxury grade. The Accord is not just a low maintenance cost vehicle (Owned new 2013 & 2016 EX-L's), but it is built in the USA and will deliver high resale value return at Trade-in due to reliability, durability and Fun-To-Drive factor. Simply a great car!
